"There was a time
when each one made
a work of art
at the same time
as a useful thing
and out of this
uniting burst
a spontaneous joy."

(William Morris)

Featured Projects:

Fresh off the looms is a selection of
"blanket stripe" rugs.  These are woven out
of loopers discarded from the sock
manufacturing industry with the colored
stripe being made from old 1970's
blankets.  These are mostly three feet wide
and up to eight feet long.
Check out the little owl that paid us a visit.

Blanket Stripes
In preparation for our upcoming event with The Farm
Chicks antique show in Spokane, Washington, we have
been busy adding other recycled handmade items to our
inventory.  We thought that would be a great venue to offer
our Six-sided Block puzzles made from old children's books
along with about 100 old vases made from antique
sun-purple bottles.  We've also finally had the time to weave
a bunch of our 3-button jute journals with refillable paper
inserts.
Do you like old bottles?
What is mitumba?
(and does it matter?)
If you've got the rags, I've got the time.
